Train table for pumps. I just
Got the base on, now time for the rest.
so pumps is getting a train table for christmas. I have set up the track. I just need to make a few adjustments and trace and then it is off to the paint shop called my basement. I hope he loves it. I hope that it gets a lot of use.
I will get some pics and post tomorrow.
I know that I have not been my crafty self lately but I think that is going to be my new years resolution and I shall begin actually right now. There is no reason why I can’t crochet and watch TV or work on some sewing project. I just need to fix the selves in my room and then get all my stuff organized and then I shall finish that damn book I started like 6 months ago. I would like to give it to pumps for christmas. and I want to make presents this year I need to find a great bag pattern I think for mmm and funky hat for pjk and kmas and mom and dck will have to come to me. i did just find a great hat pattern to crochet for myself. I am about to go look for some black yarn and hopefully get started today. Work should be slow tomorrow I plan on taking it with me and working on it there tomorrow.

So chritmas is coming up and I have decided to make pumps a train table. I have purchased a used train table and train track (all wooden from a consignment sale) for about $30.00. Pumps loves thomas the train, so I then went to toys r us and purchased $300.00 worth of thomas stuff. Yes I know what the fuck that is just way to much money, but it will be so awesome.
Next step is to lay out the track and make a thomas the train land. I then plan on painting the table and glueing the track down. Pumps is only 2 and seems to liek to rip up the track and then he gts really really mad. It will be so cut when it is done and he is going to love it. I can’t wait. I will post some pics of the progress as I get to work on it.

So, I have not been posting alot lately. I have been working on an awesome post though. I have been good. I hope all the peeps out in the web world have been good as well.
I have started my new job, remember number 3 in the restoration of my life. I love it. It has been a bit slow for me lately but I am being trained to be a coordinator. I did come with some experience, but they still must train me. I have to learn how to do manual vital signs and phlebotomy (draw blood). I think I need to learn how the put in IVs as well, but that come when it is needed to be done. I learned how to get a person blood pressure today. I got it and was really surprise how easy it actually is. I just now need to practice on the peeps I work with.
One of the girls, C-C, has a dry eraser board over her desk and would like us to put quotes of the day up. Today, mine was “Same Bat time, same bat channel.” An awesome throwback to the classic Batman show with Adam West. I loved that show as a kid. In the summer I would watch all the old shows like that. Now it is near impossible to find them even on Nick at Night.
I hope that all you peeps out there know what I am talking about. Classic Batman, the incredible hulk, Wonder Woman. Linda Carter now that woman should be my hero. She still looks fabulous now and to me she is still the ultimate Wonder Woman. Yes wonder woman was my hero as a child. I remember going to the comic book store with my oldest brother for him to get comics. Yes he collected comics. He would always get me a wonder woman comic. That comic book store is still open, which I find quite strange. I would have thought that everything would be electronic now, but I guess there is nothing like reading a real comic book. I need to make sure that pumpkin knows that feeling.
I digress, but you know that is me. You can even throw in Lavern and shirley, Happy days, Gilligan’s Island, and so forth. I never did like 3 company. I always thought it was cheesy. I really wish they would show all that stuff again. Somedays I get tired of NCIS, Law and Order, and CSI. Because you know that is all they ever have on now.
Bring back the Classic I say. Let’s revolt to the TV industry until they put on some worthy shows again.
But too reality. I have been so awesome. I need to continue to work on the restoration of my life, but so far so good. I have nothing I need or want right now. Well I take that back my health insurance at the new job sucks as much as my last job, so now I need to find some private insurance, but other then that nothing I need or want right now. For lake of better words life is good…

So kas is getting married and me and mmm were put in charge of the bachelorette party. Hell mother f*ckin’ yeah. I think a drag show in midtown is an excellent idea.
So I am going to make some invites today I have plain cards, really cool paper, and a new markers. What should I do? I think I need to look up online and find some ideas.
I also bought a few things for the actual party. A hot pink feather boa, bride sash and rubber ducking cake toppers. I need to think and plan.
Mmm and I are meeting for breakfast tomorrow to finalize the plans. Pumps is making me nervous at donald’s must go.

I bought an antique typewriter desk for $15 buck a few weeks ago. I am planning on converting it to a sewing desk and hope to do this on Monday. I need to go to home depot.
If any one has any ideas onhow to attach a sewing machine to a folding type table please let me know. I do hope the peeps at home depot can help.
I need to post more projects on here. And I need to work on more projects. Maybe a trip to the craft/ fabric store is in order for next week.
I love to make jeans into skirts. It is so easy. I go to the trift store and buy some old beat up jeans. The cut the inseam. Then you have to cut the seam that makes the crotch. Pin the crotch down flat. Sew it. IF you cut it short enough you will not have to add fabric to fill the gap. But if you need to just use the part of the legs that you cut off. They always come out really cute. I really suggest you try this. I have been doing this for years and I see people wearing skirts like this they paid alot of money for, and I made mine for like $5.
To make it you will need 1 1/2 yards of two fabrics. I like to use broadcloth. You can really get alot of great designs in the fabric. You will need to cut the fabric as such:
Straps: 39″ x 4 1/2″, cut two of each fabric
Side: 23 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ cut one of each fabric
Front/ back: 13 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ cut 2 of each fabric
Front pocket: 11 1/2″ x 11 1/2″, cut one of your outside fabric.
Begin to sew. Sew outside fabric to inside fabric of strapes. Inside out. Then trim edges and turn right side out. Fold over one end about 1/2″ and sew.
Then take front pocket and hem one edge.
Then sew together your side fabric by pinning it to the back. It will make a square. Sew together. You have to do some magic around the corners but it will work. Then pin your front pocket to the front of the bag. Then you will need to pin the side to the front. Again magic around the corners. Sew together.
Repeat the above steps for the inside minus the front pocket. You can add pockets to the inside of you would like. I chose not to. If you do sew them on before you sew together the side.
To combine the inside and the outside: pin strapes the outside side of bag. Make sure they go down, you don’t want to sew them up. Then turn inside out. Pin it around edge of outside. Make sure seams match. Sew together leaving a 2″ gap to flip right side out. Pull outside of bag thur gap. Press edges, the sew about 4/8″ for edge all around top. I like to do a zigzag stitch. But you can do whatever suits you.
Tie straps together at the length you want the bag to be.
And done.
You can really custom the bag to be whatever you want it to be. So have fun with it.

2. I need to make my new awesome sling purse for Vegas. Already cut I need to sew up together tonight.
3. I need to make a pair of jeans into a skirt. It is already I just need to sew the seams.
4. I want to make this black dress from this awesome pattern that I found.
5. I need to make (crochet) a pencil case, needle case, and paint brush case.
6. Then I have 3 more patterns for a vest, skirt with pockets, and jumper that I want to make.
7. Then I have this idea for the Babbette blanket (http://www.purlbee.com/babette-blanket-2/) from the purl bee that is really awesome. You should really check out that site… http://www.purlbee.com/

I want to make one for my bed and then maybe one for pumpkin. Maybe I should make one for KAS and A D for there wedding. Yes definitely one for KAS.
So much to do and so little time. I need to focus and I finally got a desk up in my room to set up the craft area for me. I have to get some shelves and baskets. I think I can make some baskets. I need to look it up.

I have come up with my new project. I want to make one of this blankets from my bed. I might even make one for pumpkin.
Before I can begin, I need to finish the other projects I have going on… like pumpkins book, so sewing I have.
This is a babbette blanket that I found on the great blog called the purl bee. I think all crafters should check out this site. They have so many projects that I want to do.
