So on Friday I began to sew and sew and sew. 2 bags, one pillow covered and an apron, well almost an apron. I also made a trip to the local fabric mega-mart aka Joann’s and purchased 2 fabulous dress patterns and fabric to go with them.

The inspiration came from thepurlbee.com. One of my favorite sites. It was a beautiful dress pattern by Lisette. I have purchased that pattern and a wonderful paisley fabric in a brilliant shade of mustard. Now will I wear a mustard dress, who actually knows but oh! I heart the fabric. The dress is simple shirt like design.

I also purchases another pattern by simplicity, they really do have great patterns and a beautiful purple plaid like rayon. The dress is simple shirt like dress with am elastic waist and open collar. When complete it will be great for work or play or perhaps both.

Then on sat evening after 2 days of sewing, my machine just locks up.

Devastated… to say the least.

Now this particular machine was a wonderful Christmas present from my parents say about 10 years ago and probably cost about $250. Now to fix it, I have called a local machine repair place it will cost about $90. Now the question at hand, do I repair or replace?

My mom had a singer machine that was probably older than me. I began to use it as a teenager and it finally died. I got my first sewing machine then. Nothing fancy, just one from Wal-Mart. Several years later and several problems later I ended up with my Kenmore sewing machine. It has automatic button-hole maker.
Hmm… I feel as if I can not let go of this machine, but maybe it is time.

Needless to say my apron is still not done and I have moved back to crocheting until the machine can be fixed.

So… away at the beach for not enough time… only 3 days of beach. I relly should have scheduled more,  but I will be back at a beach in a month or so… and there is always the pool.

I have put my crafting onto the back burner to do a little relaxing and just plain chillin with the fam.

I did complete a fantastic hook case before I left. As all true crafter know that you must have great things to hold all you stuff. I currently have some goos stuff,  ut most of it bought. I am working on making every thing handmade.

Back to the hookcase. I have decided that I need to learn different stitches, so this was created with a v stitch family from Donna Kooler’s “encyclopedia of crochet”. This book is actually wonderful. I have learn so many thing from it and it has a great collection of stictchs. And I used a crab stitch along the edge. I didn’t really write a pattern for this, but to make you would just need to  v stitch a lenght that you want then, finish off. The add the edging. I used 2 great colors- lime green and purple, both yarns are “I Love this yarn” from hobby lobby and I really think that I love this yarn.

I really wanted it to be like a folder, but the crab stitch around the edge made it look kinda funny just folded and it was not so stable, actually it was just plain floppy looking. So it became a rolled up one and I am very happy with it.

I hand sewed the lining to hold my hooks and things aka crazy crocheter stuff. Some of the hooks have been falling out, so I think I need to resew just to get a tighter edge. Other then that I am super happy I now have a place for my stuff that is small enough to carry around in my crochet basket.

As you can see I am learning about this whole blogging thing as I add my latest and greatest projects up.

I hope you enjoy… If there are any questions, please just holla

… Later

So I work with all kinds of people and one of them icb is absolutely insane.

So over the last few days she has been driving me nuts. It is like she is in charge or something. Example, today our intern knr fainted after we saw a patient. It was really hit in the room and we had just drawn the blood. She fell and hit her head on the light switch. Well an incident report needs to be completed BY OUR MANAGER! she told me to do it. I AM NOT TO FILL THIS OUT! really what the fuck?

She got pissed when I said I am not to fill it out. She is not my boss and will not tell me what to do.

I fucking hate people.

BTW KNR is just fine.

So last night, mom went nuts on me. Completely nuts. I am so upset and not sure of what to do.

The beginning…

So today is goose’s birthday and we need to make cupcakes for school, so the kids can have a party. Well the cupcakes ran over and got stuck to the pan. I got them out with the sacrifice of about 4, still plenty for school. I stated and quote “they are stuck because they got filled too much.” Well mom just goes off, she never does anything right and all I do is critize her. Really all I said was the cupcakes were stuck and I got them out. She stormed off and started throwing things and being all crazylike. I told her to stop and she just glared at me.

So I did what I always do, I got goose and we left. He wanted to go to the bike store to see about getting a tire fixxed on a bike we have in the basement that he wants. So that is were we went. As he got in the car, he looked and me and said “I didn’t finish my supper.” I kinda broke my heart, but I do not want my son around crazy at all. And I did eat at all.

After we went to the bike store, which was closed, we went to dairy queen. Goose had ice cream sundae and I had a burger. Not a very good supper, but something I suppose.

You Goose just kinda looked at me, he never really said anything about what happened at the house. I don’t think he really understood. It’s kinda sad really. He has never seen any of this and all the fighting that I did with OHM was not infront of him. I made sure of that.

As I was driving all I could think about was how much money I have and how far could we get on that. I don’t do crazy well and this is not the first time she has done this. And I can’t raise a child around someone who at any moment can just go nuts.

Now the time inbetween the crazy is great, but still. Really? She used to do this to my dad. I remember when I was kid witnessing this behavior. Well guess waht I am not your husband, I am your child and to be honest, NO YOU DO NOT DO THINGS RIGHT ALOT! YOU ARE SO IMPATIENT THAT YOU FUCK THINGS UP ALL THE TIME. YOU TRY SO HARD TO GET THINGS DONE THAT THEY ARE ALWAYS WRONG. PATIENT IS A VIRTUE YOU NEED TO FUCKING LEARN IT AND I DON’T CARE THAT YOU ARE 63 YEARS OLD, YOU SHOULD HAVE LEARNED A LONG TIME AGO! AND YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PUT ANYTHING AWAY BECAUSE YOU JUST SHOVE SHIT WHEREEVER AND THEN YOU GET MAD AT ME WHEN I CAN NOT FIND THINGS. And god forbid i tell you any of this, you will just get pissed off.

I am just so tired of dealing with people. Maybe I should go out west and get a farm and become a farmer. I don’t really know what to do.

Then this morning, I was thinking on my way to work, am I such a bitch that whenever I speak I piss people off? I mean that could be the case, but there is really no need to go off like mom did. Sometimes I speak and it comes out wrong and/ or people take it the wrong way. But usually I realize as soon as I speak that I was being a bitch. Maybe I just need to stop talking to people altogether.

But really? Over cupcakes that were just fine, just a bit stuck in the pan?

I need to get away and this week I applied for readmission to college so I can go to nursing school. I guess that is not going to happen. I can’t go because I need to take care of goose and you can not work during nursing school. I have to get out of that house and far away from her.

I need to actually look for a new job elsewhere.

So this damn cowboy hat will be the death of me. I rewrote the pattern and it was too small. So I fixed it and it was just not working. I have frogged the damn thing 3 times.

I have put it aside for the time being.

I think it needs to be two strands of yarn, so I purchased some more. The original stuff I bought got some messed up when I ripped it apart, it will no longer work for the hat. But all is good I have plans for that yarn.

I love the idea of the hat and I live the yarn choice, but I am not sure about the pattern. I wonder if anyone tried it before it was published. I knew from just looking at it that it would be too big. It called for a J hook. J hooks always make really big stitches. Hmm? Something to think about.

I feel as if I should let the author of the book know that the patterns are usually wrong, but maybe I crochet different then she does. I am at a lose.

Oh well, not project and then maybe in a month I will come back to the damn hat.

So I am ready today is the party. Cake was done this am. Rockets were made last night. Snacks bought. Everything is ready.

I am so excited our first pool party and everything has turned out so good.

I forgot to take pics as always, but mmm has taken a bunch. When I get I will update and post.

The party was great! It was cloudy and thundering, so everyone left the pool. It was just us.

The kids had so much fun!

The decorations were simple yet cute!

I really think i should just plan parties in general.

I have completed the bag and it has turned out super cute!
